Based on the traditional chat show format the one show is hosted by international man of mystery Vinyl Burns (Kim Potter), host of Heavenly Burlesque (best of Fringe 06), and the second by comedy duo HotNuts &Popcorn, the thin stage façade for Eric Amber and Derek Flores. HotNuts & Popcorn are world class improvisers, comedians, indulgent joie de'vivre-ists recently relocated to Wellington from Toronto, Canada. They describe their act as 1 part vaudeville, 1 part rat pack & 3 parts high octane unpredictability. Hopefully, this serves as a useful tool for readers, writers, booking agents, club owners, radio stations, and others in and around the local music world. It certainly illustrates the diversity and richness of the Charleston band scene better than anything we could publish on a weekly basis. The acts listed on this page are among the most active in the Charleston area - in the bars and clubs, in the recording studios, and in the rehearsal spaces. We will maintain this directory with additions or changes that come our way. (Please contact us with any adjustments or changes). Sources at record labels, who have seen the new player, say its wireless capability and a feature that allows some sharing of music between users are what differentiates Zune from Apple Computer Inc.'s market-leading iPod.... | |
