Furthermore, the error-prone Eagles had lost starting center Robby D'Angelo, starting right tackle Ryan McKee and starting tight end Shawn Nelson to injuries. He said he's not worried about how big a percentage of the vote he gets in Tuesday's election, as long as he finishes first. "I'm not a run-up-the-score guy," Perry said. "I understand I've got to get more votes than Number Two." The Tigers overcame a 10-point, first-half deficit to pull out a 29-24 victory on Saturday before an announced Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium crowd of 21,050. It was the Tigers' 12th straight win over Valley (3-2 overall, 2-2 SWAC). The Delta Devils' last win over Jackson State was 1994, when Moss Point's Keith Poindexter started at quarterback.
